Animal Bioware Web Portal is best support by using the Internet Explorer browser though it should be usable from other browsers as well. However, we do know that Safari will not work with Bioware.
To print cards from the Web Portal, you will need access to a PC or MacIntosh that can run Microsoft Windows either directly or through an emulation program. The cards can now be printed from the OS operating system as cage cards are now in Adobe's PDF format instead of SNP format
The physical workstations in the facilities (BBRB, KAUL, LHRB, RSB, SC, VH) can be used to print cards close to the investigator's animal room(s). If you are unable to print cards or labels at your computer or at a workstaion, please email
arpbioware@uab.edu and we will try and troubleshoot the issue. We can print cards or labels for you if necessary. You will need to provide ARP with the APN, species and quantity of cards/labels you need printed.
