Each selection below contains step-by-step instructions for creating and printing labels or cage cards for either weaned/never accounted animals OR previously counted animals. Please contact arpbioware@uab.edu for questions/clarification.
Which box to choose on the Bioware Web Portal Card Code Request page:
WEANED ANIMALS (CCB) - Select if the animals you are printing labels/cage cards HAVE NEVER BEEN COUNTED ON A PROTOCOL (this includes pups from time-pregnant females ordered through an approved vendor)
PREVIOUSLY COUNTED ANIMALS (CC) - Select if the animals you are printing labels/cage cards have already been counted on a protocol Once you decide which box you need, you can select an appropriate set of instructions from the list below.
Card Code Request Page - Barcode Labels (1" x 2 5/8") - Animals Never Accounted/Weaning Animals

CCB Label Creation/Printing Instructions
Barcode Label Creation & Printing Instructions for animals NEVER ACCOUNTED on a protocol. Choose this option if the labels you are printing will represent animals which have NEVER been counted on your protocol. As an identifier, labels beginning with CCB in will be generated.
Card Code Request Page - Barcode Labels (1" x 2 5/8") - Previously Accounted Animals

CCB Label Creation/Printing Instructions
Barcode Label Creation & Printing Instructions for PREVIOUSLY ACCOUNTED ANIMALS. Choose this option if the labels you are printing will represent animals which have already been counted on your protocol. As an identifier, labels beginnnig with CC will be generated.
Card Code Request Page - Cage Cards (3" x 5") - Animals Never Accounted/Weaning Animals
Cage Card Creation & Printing Instructions for animals NEVER ACCOUNTED on an IACUC protocol. Choose this option if the cage cards you are printing will represent animals which have NEVER been counted on your protocol. As an identifier, labels beginning with CCB in will be generated.
