Control the Controllables

YOU'RE IN CONTROL.

These are unprecedented times. Our "normal" has changed, how we shop for essential goods, how we communicate with our loved ones and even how we learn. With all of these changes it is easy to feel discouraged and overwhelmed with situations we feel are out of our control, especially when you have assignment deadlines!

We get that. Which is why we have created a series of videos starting a conversation: If things seem out of control, then what can I control?

In our video series Control the Controllables, we will be teaching you about unique aspects of college life that can significantly influence overall wellbeing and college success. Let's get started!

BWell HomeMockup

The UABwell Mental Health App was envisioned by students as a way to have services, information, and resources about mental health in one central location that’s easily and quickly accessible on mobile devices.

UABwell’s features were developed directly from student input, inspired by ideas that would support their unique mental health needs as students.

The UABwell Mental Health App can be used to:

  • Create a personalized self-care plan that builds good habits in sleep, movement, nutrition, routine and resiliency
  • Create a private habit checklist and wellness journal to help you meet your goals and track your journey to better self-care and mental health
  • Use self-help tools that put mental health services, mindfulness resources, and campus mental health and recreation events at your fingertips.
