More Accolades for POSTCARDS
POSTCARDS TO J. BIRD, already a multiple-award-winning play, has won another honor for playwright Stephen Webb, who graduated from the Department last year. The play was a finalist for the 2012 Harold and Mimi Steinberg National Student Playwriting Award, co-sponsored by the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. POSTCARDS was produced at UAB last year, then presented again at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Region IV Festival.
National Honors for Kinsaul and Peek
Congratulations to Theatre UAB's Natalie Kinsaul and Music major Kevin Peek on receiving 2nd Place in the National Kennedy Center Award for Excellence in Sound Design! Their collaborative compositions for The Caucasian Chalk Circle received this honor at the KCACTF National Festival on April 21st.
Foster Wins First at UAB Expo
Theatre UAB Dramaturg Bradley Foster received the First Place blue ribbon in the Social and Behavioral Sciences section of the 2012 UAB Expo for Undergraduate Research. Congratulations to Bradley for this recognition of his excellent dramaturgical work on our production of On the Verge!
