INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR USGA?

Elections for the Undergraduate Student Government Association Executive Council and Senate positions are held in the spring of each year. The elected Executive Council positions include President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of Communications, Vice President of Student Services, and Vice President of Finance. Members of each school can also choose to run for a Senate seat in their respective schools. Senate seats are apportioned according to enrollment in each school. The positions will be filled through a general election managed by the Election Commission. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the head of the Election Commission, Neha Moolchandani (This email address is being protected from spambots. Before running for a position, each candidate must attend an interest meeting and submit the online application through Engage. A timeline of the elections for Spring 2024 can be found below: 

2024 USGA Election Timeline: 

  • January 29th-February 2nd: Mandatory Candidate Interest Meetings
  • January 29th: Intent to run Form Opens
  •  February 12th: Intent to Run Form Closes

  • February 19th: Campaigning Starts

  • February 27th:  Meet the Candidates and Debate 

  • March 4th: Campaigning Ends

  • March 5th: Voting opens at 8AM for 24 hours

  • March 6th: Unofficial results announced and Runoff Campaigning begins

  • March 7th:  Runoff Voting opens at 8AM for 24 hours

  • March 8th: Official Results Announced

Mandatory Interest Sessions:
