The College of Arts and Sciences aims to support faculty, staff, and students as they conduct impactful research, scholarship, and creative pursuits that reflect interdisciplinary perspectives, enhance quality of life, and improve society.

The College’s research efforts are aligned with UAB’s Research Strategic Initiative: Growth with Purpose, which will improve people’s lives exponentially while increasing the University’s research expenditures to $1 billion.
