Congratulations to associate professor and research director Nitesh Saxena, Ph.D., who has been named a recipient of the Dean’s Excellence in Mentorship Award from the UAB Graduate School. He and his fellow honorees will accept their awards at the April 2017 ceremony hosted by the Graduate School. These awards recognize full-time regular UAB faculty members who have demonstrated exceptional accomplishments as mentors of graduate students and/or postdoctoral fellows. Mentorship is celebrated at UAB because the university recognizes that a mentor is not just an educator. A mentor is a person who inspires and motivates, and who is committed to excellence. We are proud of Dr. Saxena's recognition in this area.
