Where to Begin
Most Adult Patients Begin in Our Comprehensive Care Clinic
Most new patients begin care through UAB Dentistry Comprehensive Care in Birmingham, where student dentists provide general and comprehensive care under direct faculty supervision.
In this setting, your first visit may include a treatment planning appointment in which your oral health is evaluated, and a care plan is developed before treatment begins.
After your initial visit, you will be scheduled for care in the clinic that best meets your needs. This may include continued care in Comprehensive Care or treatment in a specialty clinic. Your care team will explain your options and next steps.
In Pain?
If you are a new patient and have an urgent dental need, you may visit UAB Dentistry Urgent Care. This is a walk-in clinic where patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
