Application Dates

Internship applications are due on the last day of the week in January, one semester (not including summer) prior to the fall internship; two semesters prior to the spring internship.

Applications for fall 2016 and spring 2017 are due by January 29, 2016.
Applications for fall 2017 and spring 2018 are due by January 31, 2017.


Spring 2017 Student Teaching Dates:

11/14; 12/5: Early Bird dates to receive spring internship placements

Mandatory Student Teaching Orientation for all *non-hired interns; 9:00am-12:00pm; Hill Student Center, Alumni Theater (1400 University Boulevard, Room 310)
- Note: Early Childhood/Elementary interns will meet in Hill Room 318 after dismissal from the Student Teaching Orientation

1/9: Mandatory edTPA Academy FOR ALL STUDENT TEACHERS (including AMP full-time hired teachers); 1pm-3pm, Hill Student Center (Ballroom)

1/9: Mandatory Student Teaching Orientation for all hired/full-time teaching interns; 3:30pm-4:30pm; Sterne Library, Dean's Conference Room (1st floor, back right)

1/10: First day in assigned school for all *non-hired interns, except Elementary Education interns

1/10: edTPA Seminar for Elementary Education interns only, 8:00am-12:00pm; EB 151

1/11:  First day in assigned school for all *non-hired Elementary Education interns only

1/10, 1/30, 2/13, 2/27:
Internship seminar for all Collaborative Teaching interns; 4:30pm-6:30pm, EB 100

1/11, 2/1, 2/15, 3/1:
Internship seminar for all Art, ESL, ESL/Foreign Language, Music interns; 4:30pm-6:30pm, EB 226

1/12, 2/2, 2/16, 3/2:
Internship seminar for all Secondary Education interns (math, sciences, social studies, history, English); 4:30pm-6:30pm, EB 149F

1/31, 2/14, 2/28: Internship seminar for all Physical Education interns; 3:30pm-5:30pm; location TBD

1/31, 2/14, 2/28:
Internship seminar for all Early Childhood Elementary Education interns; 1:00pm-5:00pm, EB 151

3/2: Beginning of second half of internship (for K-12 certification areas)

4/21: Last day of internship

4/24 - 4/28:
Make-up days of internship absences

*"NON-HIRED" refers to interns that will not be completing their internship as Alternative Master's full-time hired teachers within their field of certification.
