Director, Office of Learning Technologies
David leads UAB’s Office of Learning Technologies within the Center for Teaching and Learning, putting learning first by partnering with faculty to elevate teaching in online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. Drawing on an early career in communications and later work as a professor and director of online learning and faculty development, he strives to provide faculty with evidence-based pedagogical solutions.,/
Prior to a career in higher education, he served in K12 settings as a teacher and counselor and has had extensive work through the years producing a variety of media. He holds degrees in Mass Communication, Community Counseling, and Family Therapy/Child & Family Development.
