Andres Guerrero

Andres Guerrero is the Rehabilitation Engineer at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York. He earned his Master of Science in Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a concentration in Design and Commercialization and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechatronics Engineering at the Escuela Politecnica del Ejercito in Ecuador.

Andres was able to expand his designing skills and expertise in the area of robotics while developing his own projects at UAB. His ultimate goal was for the products he designs to be used as a part of children's therapies to improve their mobility abilities. At Blythedale he is able to use the design principles and manufacturing methods he learned in the Design and Commercialization concentration to develop parts such as new joysticks for children's wheelchairs and specialized toys for pediatric therapy.
