Our program trains students that have recently completed their undergraduate degree with the skills they need to move into positions of leadership within a variety of careers in the engineering and technical fields.

A partnership with the Collat School of Business makes the MSEM at UAB stand out from other programs of its type, allowing students to gain business training that addresses non-engineering elements such as critical thinking in uncertain business environments, communication, teamwork, and leadership development.

While the focus of our degree program is employment, you can also use your degree to pursue advanced degrees in management, engineering management, interdisciplinary engineering Ph.D. programs, and other similar degrees.
