I was extremely impressed and pleased with the online MEng Structural Engineering concentration at UAB. The courses were rigorous and the material applicable. I was able to apply the knowledge I gained directly to my daily tasks, especially the Bridge Engineering Course. I am more prepared to take on a greater leadership role with my company because of the program at UAB.

I really enjoyed that the department staff were not simply theoretical, but have worked in industry; thus, providing real-world knowledge and examples for us to learn by. Because of this, I consistently go back to notes and test examples for difficult problems that I encounter at my job as a Structural Engineer.

The UAB concentration in Structural Engineering has changed my life. The program allowed me to achieve my dream as a structural designer, coming from a manufacturing engineering background. Now my career options are full of great opportunities.

I have always wanted to be a structural engineer but combining my professional career as a civil engineer and pursuing a graduate degree in structural engineering has been difficult for me. The UAB concentration in structural engineering has made the difference for me since I enrolled. It is excellently structured to accommodate professionals like me. In addition, the academic and professional expertise of the faculty and learning support available to students has made it one of the best decisions I have taken.

The ability to pursue my structural engineering master's degree while balancing a growing family and career was invaluable to me. The knowledge gained from the program and faculty has provided new opportunities and promotions within my company.
