  1. A copy of the advertisements should be attached to the Hiring Proposal (candidate offer packet) when it is submitted and approved through UAB PeopleAdmin. Be sure to include the actual tear sheet(s) or electronic copy of advertisement(s) as it appeared in the media source/publication.
  2. Advertisements are removed from UAB Faculty Jobs (UAB PeopleAdmin) and HigherEdJobs.com listings, once the Hiring Proposal is initiated; the finalist candidate has been identified; or when the department requests that a recruitment request be closed or cancelled.
  3. Departments should also request that a faculty recruitment request be closed by contacting the Faculty Affairs Office at 202-934-0513 when a position is no longer needed; a finalist candidate has been identified (after the 30-day minimum); or if the position will not be filled (a Cancelled Search).
  4. Faculty Recruitment Requests are primarily closed when the department selects a candidate to hire and initiates the Hiring Proposal in UAB PeopleAdmin. See Hiring Proposal Process.
