Aston is originally from Thailand and has been with UAB since October 2016. She brings a wealth of international experience and a unique global perspective to our international community. She is a valuable resource helping internationals comply with tax laws, immigration laws, policies and procedures and monitoring the employment authorization. Aston earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration at UAB in Spring 2021 and received an honor from the National Society Pi Alpha Alpha for academic and leadership excellence. She currently serves as staff advisor for the UAB Thai Student Association (TSA).

After graduating from Bangkok University’s International College, she worked as an international marketing representative in Bangkok before spending three years as a professional staff member at the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul. Aston moved to the U.S. in 2014 and worked in the Office of Affirmative Action and Equity Compliance at Northern Illinois University before coming to Birmingham. She loves spending time with her family and her two adopted cats named Tangerine and Lion (which she adopted while in Afghanistan). Aston enjoys traveling, shopping, and cooking her amazing Thai food!
