UAB's Office of International Faculty & Staff Immigration Services (IFSIS) processes USCIS work authorization petitions for the institution, including petitions for E-3, H-1B, O-1, and TN status. We also draft and facilitate filings for permanent residence, primarily in the EB-2 PERM and EB-1B categories. IFSIS will always start hiring and extension conversations directly with your supervisor or administrator and will reach out to you later as needed through the LawLogix Edge system when information and documents are required from you.
