My Job Status

Take advantage of the status updates on UAB’s career site. Sign in and click My Jobpage to check your application statuses and read emails regarding your applications.

  1. Log in to the UAB Careers Page with your user name and password.
  2. Click My Job Page located at the top left of the page.
  3. Locate your desired submission. The page will contain draft and completed submissions.
  4. Check the Job Status.
  5. Check your Submission Status.
  6. Click the submission status to view application status details.
  7. Click View Email Messages to read any emails delivered to you regarding this submission.

    Job Status Job Status Details
    Open The position is open and a hiring decision has not been finalized.
    On Hold The position is on hold at this time.
    Inactive The position is open, but not currently accepting applications.
    Closed The position has been closed or canceled.
    Filled The position has been filled.

    Submission Status Application Status Details
    Information Received You have successfully applied for the position and we have received your submission.
    Under Review You are progressing through the hiring process and may be contacted if you are a top candidate.
    Additional Screening You are progressing through the hiring process and may be contacted if you are a top candidate.
    In Progress You are progressing through the hiring process and may be contacted if you are a top candidate.
    Under Consideration You are progressing through the hiring process and may be contacted if you are a top candidate.
    Consent for Background Screening Instructions have been sent to your email address for completing the consent for a background screening in the system.
    Background Screening A background screening is currently being conducted and you may be contacted for additional information.
    Not Selected We currently have pursued another candidate for this position. If you submitted multiple applications, you may still be under consideration for another position.
    Candidate Withdrew/Not Interested Your submission has been withdrawn from consideration for the position.
