The Innovations in Wellness awards offer a unique opportunity to encourage and recognize students, registered dietitians and professionals in the community who have demonstrated innovative approaches to supporting the promotion of healthy environments within Alabama. Please review the application criteria below and consider nominating a student, peer or colleague who is an advocate for health and wellness.
To encourage and recognize students (medical, dietetic, pharmacy, health professions, public health, dental, etc.), registered dietitians and professionals in the community who have demonstrated innovative approaches to supporting the promotion of healthy environments within Alabama. The selection committee will review all nominations and determine the award winners. Top three finalists within each category will be notified and one winner will be selected per award. Please consider nominating a student, peer, or colleague who is an advocate for health and wellness.
All awardees will be recognized at the 2019 Wellness Conference on November 15, 2019 at the Birmingham Hilton. Winners will be featured as a live guest on Alabama Public Television and receive complimentary registration to the 2020 Innovations in Wellness Conference.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: All applications and supporting documents should be submitted by November 1, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. The top three finalists will be notified by November 6 and will be invited to share supporting documentation* at that time.
*Additional supporting documentation (i.e. letters of recommendation, PowerPoint including photos and live links for supporting documentation for events, information on projects or programs that the individual has been integrally involved with) are not required for the first phase of the award selection process. The top three finalists from each category chosen to move into the second phase will be notified on November 6 and invited to submit supporting documentation at that time.
