Providing an environment and resources to support translational hypertension research

from the early stages of basic science investigation through implementation of effective programs. The UAB Hypertension Center will provide the infrastructure to enhance graduate and post-doctoral research and community outreach.

Annual Vascular Biology and Hypertension Symposium

The 33rd Annual Vascular Biology and Hypertension (VB&H) Symposium will be held April 13-14, 2023 at the UAB National Alumni Society House (1301 10th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205). Featured sessions include Stress Induced Mechanisms of Hypertension and Interdisciplinary Approaches to Addressing Health Equity and Disparities in Blood Pressure. Featured speakers are April P. Carson, PhD, MSPH, Director and Principal Investigator, Jackson Heart Study; and David H. Ellison, MD, Professor & Director, Clinical & Translational Research Institute, Oregon Health & Science University.
