In alignment with the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Strategic Plan, research opportunities and resources are made available through the Hypertension University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center (UWIRC) across domains of basic, clinical and population science to identify new approaches that will lead to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control of hypertension. The Hypertension UWIRC leverages these resources and provide an infrastructure for faculty and trainees to conduct research, generate knowledge, and improve the health of the population.
