The next big illustration could come out of Illustrator.

35 years ago, Adobe Inc released Illustrator for Apple Macintosh systems to run.  It is one of the innovations to revolutionize graphic design. Now in 2022, it is one of the leading programs for all graphic design needs. What makes it so special? Instead of using Raster graphics that can be found in photoshop, Illustrator uses Vector graphics.

Vector graphics are composed of lines and curves that are defined by mathematical objects. If you were to draw a circle, then the graphic would use a mathematical equation for the size of the circle. It would calculate the radius and can easily update the equation if you want to increase or decrease the size.

The big kicker for using illustrator is that the program is “resolution-independent” software, meaning that no matter the size the graphic will print without losing quality. From mousepads to billboards the quality and clarity of images will remain pristine.
