UAB IT Equipment Services — which provides Cellular Services and the TechTools program — will be moving from its office at the Administration Building to the first floor of the Technology Innovation Center. The move will be effective on Monday, Oct. 19.
The move puts IT Equipment Services in a more central location on campus, providing better convenience for customers.
At its new location at the TIC, IT Equipment Services will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a break for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
UAB employees will be able to scan their ONE Card to enter the building lobby.
The Technology Innovation Center is located at 1701 9th Ave. S., on the corner of 17th Street South and 9th Avenue South.
UAB’s Cellular Services office provides service for UAB-owned mobile devices through a contract with Verizon. TechTools maintains an on-campus inventory of desktop and laptop computers that satisfy the needs of most employees. Systems can be ordered and delivered in one to five business days, and peripherals like monitors, docks, keyboards, mice, and webcams are also available to order.
