UAB IT has rolled out an updated version of the UAB Status page to improve clarity, accessibility and ease of use.

The refreshed design, which also incorporates UAB’s new brand, simplifies the homepage to highlight the information campus users need most: which services are running normally, any current issues and upcoming maintenance. Instead of a calendar view, the page now displays the next 10 scheduled maintenance events in a cleaner, more accessible format.

The update also introduces subservices, allowing UAB IT to communicate issues more precisely (for example, distinguishing between a core service and a thirdparty integration) while still providing a clear overall status.

The update is also more mobile friendly and adheres more closely to accessibility standards. 

You can subscribe to the Status page at status.uab.edu via the “Subscribe” button in the upper righthand corner to get updates via email or text message. You can subscribe to all updates or narrow your selections by technology component.
