The Office of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning was established in 2025 to provide cross-campus support for noncredit learning opportunities. Investing in noncredit learning, whether for career advancement or personal enrichment, is one way UAB fulfills its commitment to serving the citizens of Alabama and making a positive impact on people’s lives.
We support schools and colleges, departments, and faculty in developing and implementing a wide variety of noncredit programs, including:
- Continuing education required by various professional licensing associations
- Professional development courses to help learners stay current or advance in their careers
- Personal enrichment opportunities, including courses and lectures, for active learners in all stages of life
- Youth workshops and programs to engage middle and high school students
- Grant-funded educational programs for community members or practitioners
- Custom programs, built in partnership with specific organizations to address their employee needs
We’re proud to bring these opportunities to thousands of learners each year. We look forward to working with you!
