FDA approves Pfizer COVID Vaccine

On Aug. 23, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in persons 16 and up.

There is a tremendous amount of work to be done BEFORE medical marijuana will be available in in Alabama. The new bill says the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission must set up the rules to implement the program and allow people to begin applying for licenses by Sept. 1, 2022. We do NOT have any additional information at this time.

2021 Seasonal Flu Shots will be available for 1917 Clinic patients beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2021. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins welcome.

Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

A yearly flu vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months and older - even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Getting a flu vaccine every year is the best way to help prevent flu and its serious compliation like hospitalizations.
