The UAB 1917 Clinic at Dewberry offers confidential, rapid testing for HIV infection with results usually available within twenty (20) minutes. There is no fee for this service which is available 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am-12:00 pm on Fridays. If you need to come during lunch (12-1) or outside of these hours, please call 205-996-4671 to set up an appointment
If you need to be tested you may either:
- Come to the 1917 Clinic Front Desk during the above hours and request an HIV test.

The 1917 Clinic at Dewberry is located at 3220 5th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35222. Free parking is available in the lot in front of the building.
Note: We will administer the INSTI HIV 1/2 Rapid Test which requires a fingerprick. While the test is processing, we will do a risk assessment and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
