Focused on establishing collaborative synergies across schools, departments and divisions at UAB

Building on its traditional strengths in immunology and autoimmunity, the Center faculty has developed programs in translational human genetics, focusing on the immunogenetic basis of autoimmune disease, and in outcomes and population-based research, in addition to research themes encompassing experimental therapeutics, bone cartillage and connective tissue, immunology, autoimmunity, autoimmunity and inflammation and neuroimmunology.

The center is involved in multiple research initiatives that are collaborative and include our different specialties such as autoimmune disease and outcomes and population-based research. In addition to these research themes encompassing experimental therapeutics, we also specialize in bone cartillage and connective tissue, immunology, autoimmunity, autoimmunity and inflammation and neuroimmunology.
