Program Overview

We are actively seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates for a 1- or 2-year Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship position within our prestigious healthcare institution. This fellowship offers a comprehensive training program in cardiovascular imaging, providing fellows with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with leading experts in the field.

Candidates who have completed or are in an ACGME-accredited General Cardiology fellowship are encouraged to apply.

        • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
        • Cover letter outlining career goals and interest in cardiovascular imaging
        • Two letters of recommendation

Applications are due February, 1, 2024.

Clinical Training:

        • Acquire practical experience in diverse cardiovascular imaging modalities, encompassing Advanced Echocardiography (with a focus on interventional echo for pre-procedure planning, intraoperative procedural guidance, and postoperative follow-up in collaboration with our Structural Interventional program), Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, SPECT, and PET.
        • Participate in the interpretation of imaging studies under the guidance of experienced mentors.
        • Contribute to developing and implementing patient care plans based on imaging findings.
        • A personalized training program ensures the achievement of COCATS level III training, tailored to the candidate's interests.

Research Opportunities:

        • Engage in cardiovascular research projects, collaborating with our research team to contribute to scientific advancements.
        • Present research findings at conferences and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.

Education and Training:

        • Participate in educating medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
        • Lead educational sessions and case conferences to enhance the understanding of cardiovascular imaging.

Quality Improvement:

        • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives in cardiovascular imaging services.
        • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Qualifications:

        • Candidates who have completed an ACGME-accredited general cardiology fellowship are eligible for medical licensure in the state of Alabama and exhibit a strong interest and commitment to cardiovascular imaging.<>
