The University of Alabama at BirminghamChildren’s of Alabama, Alabama Rare and the Alabama Genomic Initiative will host the 11th Annual Rare Disease Genomics Symposium. This year's symposium will be a hybrid event, to be held in-person at the Bradley Lecture Center and via Zoom, on Friday, March 1st, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some of the topics that will be addressed at this year's symposium include: artificial intelligence, drug development, genomic newborn screening, diversity, mental health, and Alabama policy/Medicaid expansion.
