This strategic move reflects a nationwide trend among academic institutions to unify neurology faculty with expertise across various disciplines under Comprehensive Neurology's banner.

The decision to elevate this program to a recognized division directly results from its successful growth, highlighting the institution's enduring commitment to exceptional patient care, advancing education, and conducting groundbreaking research in neurology.

The primary goal of the newly established Division of Comprehensive Neurology is to expand outpatient clinical services, ensure timely access to neurologic care, provide comprehensive exposure to neurologic diseases and treatments for students and residents, and actively participate in relevant clinical trials.

Shruti Agnihotri, M.D.Shruti Agnihotri, M.D., Associate Professor of Neurology, who currently directs the Comprehensive Neurology Program, will lead and oversee the Division of Comprehensive Neurology.

Agnihotri will report directly to the Chair of Neurology, and the division's faculty will comprise faculty currently integrated into the Comprehensive Neurology Program and have primary appointments within the Department of Neurology.
