Bio
Sage P. Rahm, M.D., was born in Upper Peninsula Michigan and then moved to Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Texas before spending his teenage years in Rome, Italy. Fascinated by the brain and how people think, he completed a BA in Neuroscience at Penn. After college, Dr. Rahm worked as a research assistant at The Rockefeller University exploring the neuroscience of drug abuse, taught English at a community center in Salvador, Brazil, and volunteered at a homeless shelter in Port Antonio, Jamaica before attending medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Throughout medical school, he continued to volunteer at several shelters around Philadelphia. Here at UAB, he strives to help all those he works with regardless of their age or background. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Birmingham on his bike, playing tennis, reading a mix of fiction and non-fiction, and eating spicy food.
