UAB recently recognized 82 individuals for their years of service in the Department of Radiology, ranging from five years up to 50 years. The UAB and UAB Medicine Service Awards honor employees who have made a significant career commitment to UAB with recognition happening at every five-year milestone.
The Department of Radiology had eight individuals recognized for 30 or more years of service in 2025, marking longstanding dedication within the institution. Those individuals are Charlene Evans (50 years); Karen M. Beard (40 years); Nureava R. Carey, Yvette Glenn, Wanda Jemison, and Lori F. Perkins (35 years); and Mark S. Bolding, Ph.D., and Rachel F. Oser, M.D. (30 years).
"The level of dedication from our faculty and staff in the UAB Department of Radiology is truly amazing, and these service awards are a testament to that," Mahmud Mossa-Basha, M.D., professor and chair, Witten-Stanley Endowed Chair of Radiology, said. "We are greatly indebted to the long-standing commitment of our team members and the excellent work that they do."
