UAB recently recognized 14 individuals for their years of service in the Department of Urology, ranging from 5 years to 25 years. The UAB and UAB Medicine Service Awards honor employees who have made a significant career commitment to UAB, with recognition happening at every five-year milestone.
The Department of Urology had one 25-year Service Awards recipient in 2025, Tamika Bennett, marking longstanding dedication within the department.
"Service milestones like these remind me how fortunate we are to have such exceptional people in our department,” said Thomas Chi, M.D., MBA, FACS, chair of the Department of Urology. “Our honorees bring compassion, integrity, and excellence to their work every single day, and I couldn’t be more proud of the impact they make on our patients and our community.”
