Advancing Women’s Health Through Research, Training, and Innovation
CRWH embodies UAB’s commitment to advancing the health of women and their children across the lifespan. Our recent name change reflects a broader, inclusive vision: to foster a dynamic research environment that addresses the full spectrum of women’s health needs.
As a designated UWIRC, we engage over 110 faculty across 8 UAB schools and numerous departments, uniting expertise to accelerate progress.
Our Key Goals:
- Stimulate interdisciplinary research to improve health outcomes across the lifespan
- Train the next generation of women’s health investigators
- Promote translation of research into policy and practice
CRWH supports this mission by offering pilot grants, facilitating collaborative research, enhancing faculty recruitment and retention, and promoting community engagement and innovation.
In today’s evolving funding landscape, securing resources for women’s health research is both critical and challenging. We are committed to equipping our members with the tools, services, and support needed to succeed—from grant development to implementation and training.
Together, we can champion groundbreaking research initiatives that drive change and improve health outcomes for women across the globe.
