The Department utilizes homemade and 3^rd party applications. The IT group services the needs of users/clients who utilize these application services. These applications are primarily those that were developed and maintained by the IT development group. Some 3^rd party applications need the assistance of the IT group for maintenance, troubleshooting, implementation of upgrades and configuration changes, etc. Client changes that need to be implemented (such as user account creation and management) are also performed by the IT group. Working with the 3^rd party vendors to plan and implement major software modifications is a good part of the application support that the IT group provides.
