Dr. Hall treats adult and teenage patients for all types of corneal and cataract conditions including: keratoconus, Fuchs’ dystrophy, herpes simplex and herpes zoster (shingles) keratitis, age-related and traumatic cataract, pterygium, corneal ulcers and infections, dry eye, conjunctivitis, and refractive surgical complications. He performs cataract surgery utilizing advanced intraocular implants for the correction of astigmatism and presbyopia, corneal cross-linking, corneal transplantation (penetrating, endothelial, and lamellar keratoplasty, and the Boston Keratoprosthesis artificial cornea), pterygium removal, and conjunctival tumor removal.

Dr. Hall is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Cornea Society. He serves as the associate medical director of the Alabama Eye Bank, one of our nation’s top five eye banks. 

Dr. Hall graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree and an M.D. degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. After completing his internship with the UAB-Montgomery Internal Medicine Program, he completed his ophthalmology residency with the UAB department of Ophthalmology where he served as chief resident during his senior year. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease & refractive surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
