Originally from Montpelier, Ohio, Dr. Locy graduated from the UAB School of Optometry. Upon graduation, Dr. Locy received the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society Silver Medal, an award given to the top graduating student. She went onto complete her fellowship in Medical Optometry and Vision Rehabilitation. She joined the UAB Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences' faculty in 2017 as a Clinical Instructor and works in both the low vision clinic and a general services clinic in UAB Callahan Eye Hospital providing services to adults and children in need of low vision care, contacts, dry eye care, and comprehensive ophthalmic concerns.
