Dr. Buckmaster is a graduate of the Louisiana State University’s School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in pediatrics at Louisiana State University Medical Center, and a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Science at Houston.  He later completed his fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University of Minnesota. The focus of his research is sedation outside of the operating room and risk assessment management in pediatric Sedation.
