Program Overview

Diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases remain challenging issues for both primary care physicians and rheumatology specialists. In the U.S., rheumatic diseases are prevalent and are responsible for increased work and functional disability. This course is designed to provide clinicians with up-todate information regarding the most recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, soft-tissue rheumatism, polymyalgia rheumatica, systemic lupus erythematosus, seronegative arthritis, systemic sclerosis, myositis, and common injection techniques. This CME and CE accredited activity will assist physicians and health care professionals in developing and maintaining their diagnostic and therapeutic skills regarding rheumatic diseases, thereby leading to improved patient outcomes.
