MohamedMohamed Khass, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Harry Schroeder’s laboratory, is mentored by Dr. Harry Schroeder, Division of Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology, and by Dr. Amjad Javed, School of Dentistry. Dr. Khass’ research is currently focused in the field of osteo-immunology, more specifically on elucidating mechanisms that control development of B cells. He has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings

Dr. Khass has been selected to receive a Young Investigator Award for his abstract entitled “Abnormalities in pre B cells impair adult bone homeostasis”, which will be presented at the 2016 Annual American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. As an ASBMR Young Investigator Award recipient, he will receive a $1000 honorarium and a plaque commemorating this award to be presented to him at the President’s Dessert Reception at the 2016 meeting in Atlanta.
