Biography

Dr. Cook received his medical degree from Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and completed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. He went on to complete a Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Cook received the Distinguished Physician Award from both Mercy Health Southwest Ohio Regional in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mercy Fairfield Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio. Additionally, Cincinnati Magazine named Dr. Cook among the “Top Doctors in Cardiothoracic Surgery” for several years running.

Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dr. Cook is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Cook and his wife of 25 years have two adult sons, and he enjoys hunting, golfing, and playing guitar in his spare time.
