Biography
Dr. Tran received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and completed his general surgery internship at Texas Tech University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He went on to complete a general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas.
With clinical interests in minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic surgeries, Dr. Tran specializes in coronary artery bypass grafts, aortic valve repairs and replacement, and the state-of-the-art TAVR procedure. He also has vast experience in mitral valve repairs, replacements, arrhythmia surgery, lung tumor, cancer, and chest wall resectioning.
Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Tran is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association.
The proud parents of one son, Dr. Tran and his wife enjoy spending time with family and traveling. During his spare time, you can also find him creating kitchen masterpieces for his family and friends or swimming.
