Experience gravity-defying thrills and mechanical marvels as Cirque Mechanics brings “Tilt!” to the Alys Stephens Center’s Jemison Concert Hall stage Sunday, March 14. 3 p.m. Tickets from $29.

Inspired by the exhilaration and artistry of amusement parks, this high-energy spectacle fuses breathtaking acrobatics, aerial feats and jaw-dropping circus skills with inventive, human-powered machinery. With neon-soaked nostalgia and unmistakable 1980s flair, “Tilt!” is a high-flying homage to America’s iconic amusement parks and an adventure for audiences of all ages. At the heart of the spectacle stands an awe-inspiring, man-powered giant Ferris wheel, surrounded by whimsical mechanical contraptions that reimagine classic midway rides and carnival games. When a weary amusement park worker confiscates a guest’s boombox, a playful chase ignites — launching an exhilarating whirlwind of stunts, surprises and laughter. With humor, heart, retro style and astonishing physical skill, “Tilt!” delivers big energy and nonstop excitement, a feel-good theatrical thrill ride for circus fans, theater lovers and anyone ready to rewind. Join the ASC before the show for carnival games and festive fun.
