Donate professional clothing and accessories at the annual Suits for Success drive to support career advancement at UAB and beyond

Suits for Success supplies several tons of clothing not only to women but also to students and patients in need, empowering them to confidently avail employment opportunities and advance their careers.

CSW Chairs TKJoin the Commission on the Status of Women at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for the annual Suits for Success from 7 a.m.-12 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 11-12, by donating work-appropriate attire and help support students, patients and women in need.

Accepted donation items include gently used, clean professional suits, jackets, skirts, casual pants, shirts, formal and casual dresses, and accessories such as shoes, handbags and jewelry.

The professional clothing and accessories collected at Suits for Success support My Sister’s Closet, an outreach program of the Young Women’s Christian Association of Central Alabama that serves women in need, the Blazer Closet and the Collat School of Business Career Closet, which provide attire for career-related occasions for students, and the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine’s Compassion Closet, which provides new and clean clothing to emergency and trauma patients when they leave the hospital.
