The University of Alabama at Birmingham will host Sen. Doug Jones and FICO for a special Score a Better Future financial and credit counseling event Saturday, May 11.
The free financial and credit counseling clinic event will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Collat School of Business, 710 13th St. South. Guests planning to attend are asked to arrive at 10:30 a.m. for check-in.
Jones will address the event attendees, who will learn firsthand from top national credit experts and nonprofit credit counselors how to score a better future for their family. FICO experts will share the key ingredients in the FICO® Score and share common characteristics of consumers that are FICO® Score high-achievers.
Attendees can engage in private conversation with local counselors from the independent, not-for-profit financial empowerment organization Operation HOPE for free, one-on-one credit and financial counseling — all geared toward developing a plan specific to their financial health and goals.
