The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Collat School of Business along with Regions Institute for Financial Education will host a Money Math Camp starting June 3.
Money Math Camp focuses on financial education and enrichment. This camp will take place the first three weeks of June, Monday-Thursday. Each week will feature a different set of lessons, exposing students to the various skills essential for effective money management.
Week 1 – Welcome to the Real World
Lessons will focus on earning, income, budgeting and protecting assets.
Week 2 – Learning, Earning and Investing
Lessons will focus on saving and investing, including trading simulations that will show
students what it is like to trade stocks, bonds and commodities in a fast paced
environment.
Week 3 –Entrepreneurship
Students will learn the ins and outs of becoming a young entrepreneur.
The cost for camp is $250 per week.
