Winter break day camps now open for registration

Day camps at UAB provide working parents child care opportunities while school is out of session.

WinterCamp2The University of Alabama at Birmingham Campus Recreation Center is providing childcare opportunities during the upcoming winter break. UAB day camps will be offered over five days and provide a fun, educational experience while school is not in session.

UAB day camps are designed for parents who have to work while their children are out of school. Children have the opportunity to explore adventure sports, create exciting crafts, dive into aquatic activities, or participate in anything else UAB Campus Recreation has to offer — all under one roof. The camp schedule is from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. and is available to children 5-12 years of age. Snacks are provided, but campers need to provide their own lunch. The cost per day for UAB affiliates is $40 per child, and $50 for non-UAB affiliates.

The dates for the winter break day camps are:

  • Friday, Dec. 20
  • Monday, Dec. 23
  • Thursday-Friday, Jan. 2-3

Registration for all camps close one week prior to the camp date, and campers will need to have a registration form completed. To download a new camper form, click here.
