The path to planning and launching a startup can be complicated, but the University of Alabama at Birmingham Bill L. Harbert Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is offering help through its panel discussion “How To Launch a Startup.” Join local business leaders and the HIIE, UAB’s Office of Technology Transfer, on Friday, April 21, at the Alumni Theater from 8:30-10 a.m.

The HIIE guides UAB inventors who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs and startup founders. This event will feature a lineup of local experts who will shed light on tips toward a successful startup launch.

Startups launched by UAB faculty, staff and students are an integral part of Birmingham’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, with the university’s startup portfolio boasting a mix of established companies and startup businesses.

The event is free and open to public; register here. The event will start at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and networking, followed by the panel discussion at 9 a.m. Contact innovation@uab.edu to learn more.
