Additional UAB Engineering Master’s Program included in U.S. News rankings

The Information Engineering and Management program joins two other programs as honorees.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Engineering announces a third online master’s program included in the recently released U.S. News & World Report ranking. The Information Engineering and Management (IEM) program, a fully online accredited program, which provides students an interdisciplinary approach to engineering and its application in business, joins Advanced Safety Engineering and Management (ASEM) and Construction Engineering Management (CEM) as honorees.

“It is exciting for IEM to be recognized along with the other school’s masters programs,” said Dale Callahan, Ph.D., founder and director of the IEM program. “IEM has fostered more than 17 start-up companies since its inception in 2000, and we are excited about the continual growth of the program.”

The magazine surveyed 293 institutions and ranked UAB’s online graduate engineering programs 27th overall. Specifically, the master’s-level programs ranked 13th in student engagement and 31st in student services and technology.
