SOPH student receives 3M scholarship

With this program, 3M’s PSD awards each winner a $5,000 scholarship and attendance to the 2013 American Industrial Hygiene conference & exposition (AIHce) in Montreal, Quebec.

Megan Moore, a graduate student in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health, is one of four students selected for the 3M Personal Safety Division (PSD) 27th Annual Occupational Health and Safety Scholarship program. With this program, 3M’s PSD awards each winner a $5,000 scholarship and attendance to the 2013 American Industrial Hygiene conference & exposition (AIHce) in Montreal, Quebec.

This program recognizes graduate students for their high level of academic achievement, contribution to the profession and intent to pursue industrial careers in the discipline of Occupational Health and Safety. Scholarship awardees were chosen in accordance with program rules on the basis of academic achievement, related experience and professional goals. They were chosen by a selection committee composed of 3M PSD management and 3M corporate industrial hygienists.
